i was originally going to use a sono tube for my port but after a little problem im using a slot port.
subs are 2 12" mach 5 spl's
i just need someone to give me the lengths of the 2 port walls so i can finish the box either common chamber port on the side or seperate with port in the middle its going to be a double baffle btw flush mount subs. tuning is 38hz

if someone can help me soon that would be great.

Your plan is to put it on the 15" side? If so, a 13.5" x 4" wide slot, 16" deep should tune right around 38hz. If it is on a different side, as long as you keep the area constant (13.5x4= 54sqin) then the depth of the slot will stay the same at 16"

4" was an arbitrary decision. I'm not saying it's perfect but at 54sqin it's a little more area than a single 8" diameter port

Dukk is suggesting that you vent the port on the side that is 15". This would make the port height 13.5" (15" - 2 pcs of wood @.75"= 13.5")x 4". Make the port 16" deep.

You can also use this if you want to calculate your own.

okay so by doing the port 16" long i wouldnt need a bend in it correct? just a straight wall for a port?

I didn't actually do any of the math, but yes, 16" long port you shouldn't need to bend it with them dimensions. Just one straight port.
