Question Suggestions of how to properly do port on existing box

Ok,
When I built the box, I knew nothing at the time about how to create the port. So needless to say, I have a 3-4 inch round port on side of box at moment.

Due to space, I can't expand outwards from box. How should a round port be done with dimensions as below. (how would the square port translate to round on my box?) Lots of bass currently, but thinking if port done right, there may be a huge difference.

Figure out your internal cuft here Subwoofer Enclosure Calculators, Fraction to Decimal, Parallel, Series, Port Length and Volume Calculators

Then go here and try some port diametres and lengths PORT Size Calculations and Formulas for WOOFER and Subwoofer BOXES

Are you planing to build a new enclosure?

Since you are using different woofers, I would suggest building seperate chamber enclosures.

Was planning on using existing enclosure, but do the port(s) properly. Would seperate chambers work keeping the three 10" in parallel?

Internal cubic feet: 4.42708

Minimum Diameter = 5.76 inches
Minimum Area = 26.03 inches

Length of a side
for a square vent = 5.1 inches

Vent Length 8.03 Inches

I guess that answers my question. So round port should be approx. 5.1 inches in diameter, and a length of approx. 8.03 inches. I can do the diameter no problem, port length, could I do a tube internally into the box, possibly dropped down in from top?

Im having trouble understanding what you have for a box presently, did u build the re box as above with slot port AND add a round port? Or did you build it without the slot and add the round port?

Sorry for the confusion. Maybe I shouldn't have introduced the image, just the dimensions of the box length/width/height are what's important I guess. No, I built the box with simply a hole of a port on the side of it, and should do the port properly. So there isn't a slot port currently.

Just picture a box that is 35.5x16.5x16.5 with 3/4 MDF.

If you throw 2 round ports in the side, 9-10 inches long a peice, 4 inches in diameter you should be at roughly 34-38 hz, im just guesstamating, and have no idea if your speakers will even like the freq? or airspace etc etc

Thanks! At least this is making more sense to me now, and gives me some idea of where I should be at in way of ports. Since I can easily replace the sides, I can test/try slight adjustments if they don't sound right.
