thormxkid...

How does the box stay in place while driving? If your buddy takes a left hand corner at speed, does the sub box slide across the trunk or did you install some sort of mounting hardware somewhere?
fits very snug and velcro

Velcro was my first thought...I am going to try and build one for my 07 Maxima soon, and if it works out an amp rack for the other side later. Do you have any more pictures or tips for someone new to fiberglass work I could get from you? I will probably have to try it a couple of times but I would rather not learn the hard way. Any tidbits of info would be appreciated.

it's pretty straight forward for the most part.

read the mixing instructions for the hardener. mix it properly use cups marked in oz. not just any old cup. you end up wasting less this way instead of guessing what your mixing.

tape off whatever your molding with a good tape. i like to use blue painters tape. i do 2 layers. just so i don't have to worrie about the resin getting on the carpet. lay plastic over the rest of the area, so you don't make a mess.

mix small batches to start so your not wasting resin. and get used to dryin time and proper lay up of the mat.

do your best to get out all the air bubbles.

get rubber gloves, and lots of cheap brushes( the dollar stores pretty good for that stuff).

i donno prolly missed alot but that will give you a start.. youtube fiberglassing that'll give you an idea to i guess.

Nicely done. I'm going with the same idea with my 05 Tiburon. Doing a fg box on either side with an 8" Infinity Reference in each box.
