Truck box help??

i have a ford ranger xtended cab and i put my subs from my car in the back.
its a big sealed box and i was wondering if i put them in a smaller truck box if they will hit harder. i am new at this and need advice. i have 2 12 kicker comps. and in the box they are in now they arent hitting at all like they were before. but before i buy a truck box i would like to know if getting a smaller box will help.?

do some measurements and see what the volume of the box is, those kicker comps are pretty accomidating in terms of box size. Is the box the only thing you changed ( amp, or wiring configuration ).

normally, yes, a smaller sealed box will give more 'kick'.
