Type R box question

2.0 cubes @ 35hz, does feeding it more power have to change anything with the tuning? Or anything else?

sorry i worded that wrong , what i meant was if you throw more power @ it will i need to make the box bigger or smaller , or tune it higher or lower? Like just in case the ammount of power @ the frequency might push it to far or anything like that :dunno:

as long as you stay within the rms range, you should be fine...you may want to use a subsonic filter though, set at about 25 hz. that will help to prevent over excursion below the tuning frequency. Remember, subs in ported enclosures become unloaded below the tuning frequency, 35 hz in your case.

If one cares to consider the extremes...

An oversized enclosure may make the woofer sensitive to overpowering as it will give up control of the driver faster. The Q of the driver helps determine how sensitive it is to volume.

Also, an undersized vent will become noisy and restrictive (which then alters tuning frequency) with an increase in power.
