lol ok thank you.

and to be fair i have no idea what the difference would be with the box as long as you calculated everything and seal it up rlly good. also i like the table your using to work on (the old sub) haha.

well anyways good luck. if your gonna paint the sub box do it by hand and make a cool design lol.

but il pm you about the windshild wiper washer!

now back on track to this thred, does any one know the wireing diagram for the pins in the back of the radio, so i can ghetto rig some wires and not buy a wiring harness??
Oil change costs me about the same with royal purple, bought em in a huge 15 gallon keg and roughly costs me 98 bucks. I use 0w40 in the summer.

i drove 53,000 km since september, and i do my oil change every 6000km, used to use mobil 1 and do it every 5000km, but after switching to Royal purple, i noticed that my oil dones burn as much, it will always stay at the full mark till 3000km.... and i got a pretty heavy foot xD plus i took it to a few auto-x's

Looks like we found the cheap bimmer guy lol

With a port that's 1.25" wide by whatever tall (15 inches?, you never say), you're less than 20 sqin of port area. I would give that sub needs a bit more than that, in the range of 25-30sqin. A pair of 4" PVC ports would be a great start.

Most bimmers from the day it leaves the dealership to 170,000 miles on the clock, will cost a total of $17,000 for the general maintenance. (which means not includeing oil change and if you screwed up your car in anyway)

I know this because i have a spreedsheet that shows my cars maintenance list and the mount for the parts and hours of labour if you buy all dealership parts. And labour alone is 91.4 hours for all the maintenance!!! so there is $9000 spent on labour alone.

Any thats only the e36, most v8, newer m-series and the suvs are alot more expensive to maintain.

It is the best car i have ever owned, i bought the same exact model of the car twice, because there isnt cars made like a bimmer.

If you want a car that just runs and you do a cheap job, because its really easy to do a simple low cost job, but whats thre point of that.

My car is meant to be kept like it has just left the dealer ship, thats the reason, only the best parts are used. Why would i change OEM parts that have costed BMW millions in Research and Development for cheap copies, that can be made in chine for 20 bucks?

Btw check out bimmerforums just type it in google, n u will see the bimmer enthusiasts and honestly i spend less money than mot the members do on that forum.... like 500 buck photoshoots n rims redune everytime a scratch appears on them...

I would go with http://www.pelicanparts.com/bmw/catalog/shopcart/BE46_catalog.htm Best part quality you can go, and never had a problem with this company,

I personally would get poly-urethene bushings and the control arm busings shouldnt be that much.

But if ur not gonna DYI then i might cost you about 600 or so for labour.

ok guys i got the LOC hooked up , everything hooked up, and it sounds just great, the box, the amp, the loc does its job great, everything is bumpin.-,, but only when the trunk is open..

i dont have fold down rear seats, and no ski pass throo either, there is simply no bass getting into the cabin. but with the trunk open its so loud. i am suprized how much sound DOESNT get threw its like, too good insulated..

i have to play it at max max volume just so i can hear it, higher then i would like to push my equipment, cuz i want this stuff to last long.

anyways, lots of smoke coming from the port of the Type X.. smells like teryaki chicken.. maybe the glue on the box was melting..

Your trunk could be made sealed with cement and you should still hear bass in cabin.

The enclosure is lacking port and i dont think the side port is working out to well.

The smell would be voice coil, not glue melting.
