Hi Elliot,
Box design is largely dependant on the parameters of the driver you are using. What is the model of the MTX? Do you have any T/S specs for it?
A person can take a wild guess and chose a box size in hopes of coming fairly close to optimum, but its best if you do it once and do it by the book.
Best,
Mark

Ok, so I read your post again and realized you gave the model number. The T/S specs on this unit (I assume it's the 4 Ohm version) strongly suggests it be put in a sealed box. Going ported may cause the driver to unload prematurely and damage it.
But if its SPL and ported you want, then based on the specs I would build a 3.5 cu. ft. box and tune it to ~34Hz. This config will give you a massive peak of 6db at ~45Hz - just what the doctor ordered.
Don't expect it to sound good tho..

It does have its bugs from time to time. I find if you hit refresh/reload it corrects itself.
