Want to upgrade need your help..

Largest enclosure size I can fit through the trunk opening is 31" x 18" x 16".

I currently have a 12" BTL in an enclosure that size which is 2.8cuft after displacement with 45 cubic inches of port @ 30Hz.

What are my options for upgrading?

As far as I know 31x18x16 with 3/4MDF is 4.0cuft.

I have some space around the trunk once the box is in, so maybe I could do aeroports with two 12" Fi Q's or one 15" BTL in that 4.0cuft box?

Specifications for woofers here:

I could also do a 15" BTL in 3.0cuft enclosure after displacement with 43 square inches of port @ 30.5Hz?
Box is at the very minimum of specifications though.

Oh yeah, my goals are to move more air than with one 12" BTL.
Favoring the lows, I don't like loud bass, sensitive ears. =]

OK, guess I'm going to do the 15" BTL in 4.0cuft enclosure with aeroports.
Would like it tuned to 30Hz.

Now how do I figure out the port dimensions?

Go sealed with more cone & power. Can you power two sealed Audiopulse Axis 12's with 6k in 2.8cf3 (recommended 1.4 max. each)? Q of .4467, F3 is 61.6, FC/roll-off is 33.84hz, they'll rip a 34hz burp.

Ported 15 would be nice in 3.5 cubes/3k.

Thanks, I'm just wondering if three 3" ports would be too small?

3/2 = 1.5*1.5 = 2.25*3.1 = 7.065*3 = 21.195/3.5 = 6.055. That's too little port area. You should use at the minimum 4 4" aeros (50.24/14.35) or have them sticking out of the box. How much power do you have?

I will have the aero's outside of the box.
I have about 20" of space to put the aero's facing towards the front of the vehicle.

If I used (4)4" aero's, each one would have to be 37" long.
According to this calculator:
http://www.psp-inc.com/tools.html

I don't have that sort of space.
