I have a 15" clarion srw3481 650 watts I'm pretty sure this sub sucks, but I'm going to make a box for it anyways!

what would be a good box for it? ported or sealed.
I'll have 650 watts to it and 2 cubic feet box, is this big enough for a ported box or should I make a sealed box?

It was a nice lightweight cone - so dynamic response from all the drivers in that series was pretty quick and tight...

Anyways, go with a ported enclosure and you'll be good.

IF you have the space I never had a problem with the Clarion subs. But they did seem to wrok better in boxes that were on the larger side.

Is a SRW3481 or 3841?

If it's a SRW3841, then 2 cubes sealed is optimal - Qtc will be 0.8.

if you want to go ported, you need at least 3 cubes - tuned at 40Hz - a 4-inch diameter port 3.75 long will do it.

Sorry guys for dropping this thread so quick, and also for bringing it back from the dead, I just want to know if I put this sub in a 3cft box and tuned it to 25 hz will it sound any good? Dave you mentioned to tune it to 40 hz but I like the lower stuff, will this sub be any good at a low hz like 25 or 30?
