Unhappy ***Power and Ground wire touched together and made a spark! Please help***

So i was wiring up my system yesterday and the ground wire was already in my amplifier, then my power wire accidentally touched it and it made a spark. Now my amplifier wont work. I'm not sure that it blew but im just not sure what is wrong now.

Could my fuse blew under my hood? Because i just hope that my amplifier is fine.

Please help me out because i don't know what the problem could be.

Check the fuses on your amp and the fuse under your hood, if one of any or all are blown replace, then see what happens.

my guess is the fuse under the hood. if the battery and ground cables touch then you probably didn't have them connected to the amp, so i vote for hood fuse

Hope it's a Fuse. Also ALWAYS disconnect the Negative terminal on the battery before wiring up anything then you can bump stuff and not let out the magic smoke.

As already mentioned ALWAYS remove your battery negative. Check your fuses, after everything is inspected and replaced as needed, HOPEFULLY your amp will still be good. Usually they fry also.

I would use it as a excuse to go buy a new vehicle that can fit even more new audio gear into it.

you could have just checked the fuses before posting and asking if its possible that the fuse blew
