I highly doubt you will notice dimming on an amp that puts out 600watts rms. But doing the big three is inexpensive and helps so do it anyway.

- Pair of Pioneer 6x9.
- 12" AudioBahn woofer.
I have this installed in Buick Wagon 92 model in a box. It is one box devided from inside so the sub is in middle and speakers are on either sides. SQ is OK, but I want more. I feel like something is missing or not correct.

So........... I need advice from you guyz. I have 500-750 to spend. I can arrange used stuff as well.
- What head unit should I use ?
- What AMP ... how many .. Multi/Mono ?
- Should I change the battery ? What kind of wiring ?
- Should I also get a CAP.
- What Sub and Speakers ??

Just tell me what COMBO will best work in 500-750 budget. A professional advice from you guyz will be highly appreciated !!! Thanks !!!
Without knowing which '92 Buick wagon, you can continue to use the equipment you have now, add a couple of things, and get much better sound.

According to Crutchfield's site, the '92 Roadmaster wagon takes 4X6s up front and 6X9s in the far rear mid panels. A decent set of 4X6s should cost no more than $150 new, and you can can use your present amp to run them and the 6X9s you have (relocated to the regular install location) for your mids and highs.

A new amp to run your sub, a new box for the sub and some sound deadener for the front (and maybe the rear) speakers and you're done.

I would check for a decent used amp in the classifieds here for the sub....$100 to $150 should get you something that will be a good match power-wise for the 4 channel you have. Add anywhere from $100 for a generic sealed box to $250 or more for a custom made ported box for the sub and you've got the basics covered. If you have tools and time, you could try building your own box to save some cash there.

If you have headlight issues, the biggest of the "big 3" is the battery to chassis ground, adding a piece of 4ga wire to the factory wire will make a big difference.

Getting a nice pair of speakers (for the front, don't get sony, spend a bit more money and get a good brand) and a GOOD 4ch amp (you could stick with that akai you have right now, but ew...). Get a better sub, audiobahn makes crap, sony makes crap too.

And if you can, buy your stuff off of ebay, you'll get great prices on used stuff, I would normally recommend buying it at local shops (not audiotronic, worst place ever), but on your budget, you wouldn't get much. Also look on the BST on this forum, some great deals to be had.

Awsome !!! You guys are great !!!

The thing is that I was going back home in few weeks and the wagon was there. Back home there is not much variety in brands. I was able to find only Sony, Pioneer and Kenwood which I tried all and ant impressed much.

I was planning to get eith Alpine, JBL, JL, Polk, MTX or Rockford ... ne other reputed bang for the buck brand ???

Also, Can you guyz give a couple of recommendations on ...

1. Which 4x6 for front door ?? give 2 best options
2. which 6x9 for rear ?? give 2 best options
3. Which 4 ch amp ?? give 2 best options

I'll arrange the sub and mono amp

However, why do i notice the dimming lights then ? Do I need to get a bigger battery or something. Cause I have the regular one installed right now, not the sprecial ones that I see on Car Audio websites.

Wud the regular car battery be able to provide 500-600watt RMS to an amp constantly ?

Your advice is really helping !!
A capacitor only stores enough charge to help with a momentary power bump. It is designed to discharge instantaneously. In general, they really don't seem to help much.

A larger battery will not drain as quickly as your stock battery (more retention time) but it will not help dimming either.

The only ways to help dimming are to either get a larger alternator (at this point of your car audio journey, you don't need it) or to do the big 3 which is quite feasible.

Out of the brands you listed above, I have liked alpine the best although I haven't heard many JL products. I believe that JL makes quality, good sounding products but alpine might be more in your price range. Alpine sounds decent for the amount of money invested.

For the 4 channel amp, I would probably recommend kenwood. I have found some pretty cheap kenwood amps out there and they will push enough power for your setup. Unless you have people sitting in the back of your ride often, I wouldn't do a rear sound stage but that boils down to your preference.
