Mad Mike was quite amazed at our vehicle. he stated that he was asked to come to db drag finals to spectate. he really wants to come out to watch and to learn. at least he wants to better himself. and that is a good thing.

I think its amazing that all none of you have realized one thing...Most dB meters that are used for other things besides caraudio MAX out at 130 dB. Its possible that this meter used in the car was similar...

I don't think there is any way in hell you could screw up bad enough to only get 130 dB out of that sub with that much power.

And don't you think its weird that it was 130 dB and not 131 dB or 130.7 dB...

How often do you hit flat on the mark?

but props on the cool video anyways...I like the look on the kids face... I could almost smell the shiet in his pants when the stereo was turned up!
I know clarion had a huge one too, 30 something inches, but it sucked. But I mean I haven't seen anyone of the woofers you're talknig about, but if they're like the clarion, they're still not nearly as huge as the jackhammer (in terms of overall size, not just cone area).

Wayne Harris used a 30" EV sub (normally used for concerts) in the Terminator back in 1985. He then switched to 3 - 24" subs. His car could play at 140 dB for 8 hours straight, and it wasn't maxed out.
