For you installers out there, what/where would you consider the best place to install this 3 way set? I would like to have them installed on the door's in a kick panel of sorts, but not seeing how it can be done without looking bulky or interfering with the driver/passenger. I would also be installing the imaging enhancement kit as well so for any installers who have/ or done installs on these cars whats your best recommendation?

Thanks

Doug

seal up the door panel as much as you can and install the 6.5" there, build a nice set of sealed kicks for the 4" and tweet and install the IE in the sail panels.

I have the same set and installed the 4" and tweets in custom door pods but it was ALOT of work and finding a nice place on the floor for my 6.5" is getting tough.

Soo sound proof the doors much as possible then throw the 6.5's into the stock mounting locations? Then create a kick for the 4" and 1" tweeter.. then of course the Ie into the A-Pillars?

Correct me if I got that wrong, never heard of anything referred to "sail panels" lol...

Thanks Doug

^^Well, not quite. The A-pilar is the pilar, the sail panel is the bottom front corner of the window / door area. Usually covers the bolts that hold the door mirror.

This pic shows both the stock sail panel tweet location, and the IE tweet on the A-pilar. I chose to not use the stock sail panel location for the IE because they are angled so that the ie tweets wouldn't face each other as recommended.

Try and cover up all the holes on the door panel and you will notice a big improvement in midbass over running the door unsealed. If you have the space behind the stock location you could attempt to cut out the opening and glass a small pod inside the door panel for the 6.5". Hardest part about that is making sure it wont interfere with the window.

as far as the IE kit, the best place is on the a-pillar facing each other but its all personal preference so test em out in both locations and then decide.

I wouldn't use a sealed doorpod for the 6.5. It will kill the midbass.
