Hi Guys,

I just picked up a Polk Momo 10" sub (model MM2104). I'm actually thinking about using it as a home theatre sub (sorry, I know it's not really car audio... but figured you guys would know more about it was designed as a car sub).

I guess my first question is, any reason this sub shouldn't work out as a home theatre sub?

Has anybody had experience with these in a ported enclosure? If yes, what size would you recommend? Space is not an issue, I'm just looking for the best sound quality and SPL possible.

I haven't used WinISD much... I tried to enter the subs specs (from the manual) but two of the specs weren't listed - Z, and BL. What do these mean? I'm assuming I won't be able to calculate the proper enclosure without this information.

Lastly, does anyone know any good places to order or buy plate amps in Canada? I've been looking at Parts Express, but I'd prefer to buy here if I can.

Thanks for your help!

Polk recommends .66 cubes sealed, they don't recommend ported boxes. I know you wanted ported recommendations, I ran the #'s for the 2104 single voice coil 4 ohm sub through bassbox. It gave me a size of about 1.75 cubic feet, probably tuned around 30hz. Maybe someone else can give some feedback on this. I heard the MM2104 in a sealed box last year, was not too impressed, but I think the box was too big.
