10W7 - MTX TC6001 or JL Slash 500/1?
Getting the 10w7 in a JL HO box on Saturday and also coming with a JL Slash 500/1 amp. I have a MTX TC6001 amp right now and Im just wondering if the quality of the JL would be better than the MTX even though the MTX is 100 watts more powerful? What do you guys think? Im going to sell one and keep one.

So the JL amp actually does 500 watts rms at any impedance between 1.5 and 4 ohm? I wasn't exactly sure what that meant but if thats the case then yes, the JL would be the best choice. I would assume a bit better quality in sound as well.

Ok, I figured the JL would be a better amp sound and quality wise but I wasnt sure of the power output and at what impedance. I will just sell my MTX amp then, should be able to get 100-250?? They go for $480 at Future shop right now.

the JL500/1 will draw about 35% more power from your electrical system to make the same power as the MTX. I'd go with something that's designed to make about 1000Wrms into a 2ohm load, it;ll give you pleanty of power, a little headroom and be easier on your electrical system that the JL amp.
Their biggest downfall is they make more heat than power.
