12" Rockford Punch HX2 woofers
How are the SQ on these things when used in a small sealed enclousre?
(1 - 1.5 cubic feet) would it be wise to port them? im more of an SQ guy so i'd want to get as much SQ out of them as possible. thanks.

Go ported either way. The HX2's really do excel ported.
SQ ability is there but it's not a OZ ME or an IDMax so don't expect it to knock you over with it's performance. It is a very capable driver though and very well made. IMO it is more at home as a street beater sub as it can take a great deal of abuse and gets plenty loud without needing 1000's of watts to do it. It's one of those subs that dealers love to sell to kids as they know the kid isn't going to walk back in the door two hours later with a burnt driver.

so a smaller sealed enclosure wouldn't be the best way to go as far as SQ is concerned?
