12" sub box in a smart car?

Here's a question for jalat (I can't PM yet)

I"m looking into putting a 12" sub in a slot ported box into my 2005 smart car

How do i know what size to make the box and the port? I havent decided what kind of sub or amp yet, because it's going to be whatever I find a deal on at the time. I've had a single 10 in a ported box in the smart before and it sounded amazing, I just want something a bit deeper

thanks

There was a smartcar thread not long ago. For daily point the sub and port upwards and use deadening. If you want to hit lower notes than either tune lower or use two sealed 12's or a 15 that can handle lots of power.

I gotta know the dimesions you have to work with, and the sub being used, and the power going to it
