What you think,people?

Is it possible?

Somehow I think it is......Why?I don't know!

Something in me tells me I can some how do this with the new box that LBKC and I are building(his design)and a few minor mods to the car....

We will see I guess....

Worst case.....we throw 2 more 12's in......LOL....then comes a new amp....then.......LOL.....

Talk at ya'll later!

Keep on Thumpin'!!

I'm running 1 12 with 400 watts and hit 140.9. It's a long way off 150, I think you'll need more juice!

150db? In a sunbird with 400 watts and Kicker Impulse subs? and an 8-track??! Not on your life...
I know someone who is running almost 10 times the power you are with 2 12" subs and barely tops 150.

140db is possible with the right box maybe...

Sorry to seem harsh but 150db is harder than you think...especially from a car with a trunk.

No probs man......no offence taken....

I know its a reach....but wait to you all hear this thing......UNF***INGREAL!!

While testing the new box,I had to put on hearing protection it got too much for me to handle.....

Its LOUD buddy...I can't wait to get it mic'ed on both cd and 8Track....should be interesting.....

Wish me luck..If the paycheck pays out enough,I will be getting some runs in this weekend...if not....the following weekend for sure....

By the way..Thanks to everybody for your encouragement.....'Preciate it!!

Keep on Thumpin'!!

get it metered, then base your goals on that..

I'll give you an example if something set thier goal at 160, and hit 142 or something, they would be very discouraged and possibly give up.

IMO to get to 150, your gonna need better subs, bigger amps, and a very good install/box since it's from the trunk..

But good luck on your quest!

4 12's in a properly tuned wall with 4X the power should get you where you want to be....

I don't see it happen either! Even WITH the generous mic positions they use nowadays. I've never been metered on what I got, but from my seating position, I'm guessing I'm hitting about 140db with music. I'm using 2*12" MTX 8000, wired to 1 ohm on an RF 1000bd (stable so far, no problems yet). Then again, I'm not pushing it all day long, I usually have my bass turned way down, but it's probably pushing about 1400W, that is if the power even increses at all below 2 ohms. It's only tested and rated (stable) @ 2 ohms.

Can anyone tell me what this amp does at 1 ohm? I know I'm not supposed to run it that low, but it's just my beater system, I'm not planning on keeping it. I just want to know if anyone has tested it's output that low!
