2 amps, witch one is more appropriate?
Hey, I'm new here!
These are the amps in a bit more detail
Clarion APX 201.2
2 Channel
Maximum Power Output 200W
Continuous Average Power Output 100W
Typical Bridged Power 1kHz 230W @ 0.5% THD
Bass Extender Control 0~18dB @ 45Hz
Adjustable 55Hz-5.5kHz, 12dB/oct. High/Low Pass Crossover
Alpine V12 Expert MRV-T505
2 channel
Bridged 4 ohms 200W x1 RMS 0.3% THD
Parametric equalizer
fully adjustable divider
4V input selector
low impedance drive selector.
I've replaced all my stock speakers with 2 and 3 way coaxials. I'm also running a 10 inch single coil 400W Clarion sub.
I want to use one amp for my door speakers they can handle 160W and then use the other amp for the sub.
I have no experince with the Parametric equalizer, other then JLs flash program.
So before I tear apart my car and spend forever fiddeling around with all the ***** on this alpine, where am I going to get the best results with the alpine amp? On the sub, or on the doors?

Hey,
I sold both these amplifiers when I was in retail & I found the Alpine to be stronger.
Also, the parametric EQ lets you "dial in" the bass you want by letting you adjust exactly what frequency your sub performs best at.
Hope this helps!
