2 Batteries...isolator required or not?

So now that i have my second battery mounted in my trunk, ive been thinking do i really need it? if i were to connect the batter should i use al isolator? Basaically heres the run down, I had a stock 80amp alt, upgraded it to a 130 amp alt with some crappy tire battery upfront. My amps draw 90amp total and i have a 90amp battery isolator(i shudve bought a 150 amp but i got this for free lol) so it boils down to:
1. Run the isolator for the rear battery
2. Connect both batteries just the way it is with no isolator
3. pull out the battery becaus ei dont really need it
4. put the kinetik upfront

i bought the battery originally because my sub amp would continuously go into protect for low voltage but since i rewired everything and made every connections SOLID it hasnt been happening as much, so far only 1song with alot of high freq bass, prolly close to my 80hz cut off, has made it go into protect. Any ideas?

Yes.. pos to pos, neg to neg. Then ground the neg of the rear batt to frame.

now would that have any adverse effects on my alternator? i was told that it makes my alternator work harder and may cause it to fail sooner, is any of that true? or can someone point me in the direction of some information so that i can learn a bit more about it please and thanks

I've had two running for almost a year. No issues. I now have 3 - I disconnected my rear two and ran the Kinetik engine Bat for 2 months and it was still going strong since it's install in 2008.
