2 boxes
if you did one sealed and one ported set to the same # what will happen ?
|
set to what number?
|
if you set the port #hz as low as you can so the sealed = is hz# to the ported box
|
if you have one sealed and one ported running at the same time would your spl go up/down ?

I would think it would make the sound muddled. I've had my ported box (tuned about 33hz) in my van at the same time my buddy's box was in there (tuned about 45). You couldn't get them to sound good together, depending on the music being played, one would overpower the other. A sealed box has no tuning frequency at all, so the ported box, whatever it is tuned at, would overpower the sealed one, at or near the port's frequency, cancelling out the sound to your brain. I've thought of that too, like making a multi sub multi port setup, say four subs, one tuned at 28, one at 31, one at 35, one at 38, or something like that. I don't think it'd sound to good in the long run. |
that is why i keep going back to (looking a doing a 8th order) it has #3 port settings
but i would liuke to sett a 8th order to a horn to see what it would do thanks grizzzz |
