I would think it would make the sound muddled. I've had my ported box (tuned about 33hz) in my van at the same time my buddy's box was in there (tuned about 45). You couldn't get them to sound good together, depending on the music being played, one would overpower the other.
A sealed box has no tuning frequency at all, so the ported box, whatever it is tuned at, would overpower the sealed one, at or near the port's frequency, cancelling out the sound to your brain.
I've thought of that too, like making a multi sub multi port setup, say four subs, one tuned at 28, one at 31, one at 35, one at 38, or something like that. I don't think it'd sound to good in the long run.
