2004 rams use data bus now ???

hey, a coworker of mine has a 2004 dodge ram wth the infinity system and he wants to put his sh707 in .
in the past on trucks with the infinity system all you had to do was hook the remote turn on to the power antenna wire and the factory amps would power up and work
on a couple dodge boards I've seen post where guys are saying any dodge trucks built after may/june 2004 now use a data bus system and the whole infinty system has to be bypassed to put in a head unit
any of you guys hear this
