2011 Chevrolet Cruze Eco

Finally got this beauty <3

Shoutout to jstoner22 whose install log gave me quite a few ideas on how to install my gear. I'm a college student on a budget and already have a preexisting system from my previous car that got totaled, so the parts I have is what I am working with.

Head Unit:
I'm going to keep it stock for now because a harness/dash kit is going to cost me like $160, I'll do that down the road when I have some more money. What I will do for now is use an LOC to grab the speaker signal and send it to my amps. I'm thinking about either running a 4channel LOC to both amps or a 2channel LOC to one amp and then the RCA output on one amp to the RCA input on the other. What do you guys think? Any recommendations on a good LOC would be appreciated, I'm still researching.

The amps/speakers/sub that I am running:
Hifonics TXi 6408 (for these Speakers 6.75c & Speakers 6x8)
Kenwood KAC-8105D (for this Sub)

I intend to mount the amps in a false floor in the trunk and build a new custom ported sub box tuned to 27Hz. I will be mounting the 6.75 woofers in the front doors, the tweeters on the sail panels or in the stock location, and the 6x8s in the rear deck.

Any comments or constructive criticism is welcome . I will post more updates and pictures starting next week when I get home to the whip!

I'm sure most people on here will agree with either one of these.

These will be able to bring the bass back that the factory deck will cut out to save the speakers. Depending on budget would make the decision for me

For the LC2i, should I run a new wire to the battery for the 12V or should i splice into an existing 12V (Ex. head unit 12V lead)?

you'll have no issue tapping off of the head unit's power.

Absolutely! I get home this coming Saturday, so by Sunday I should have some pics and updates cranking out. I did end up getting a manual w/ turbo, I'm pretty excited to see how it drives. And thank you regarding the dimensions

It has peculiar gearing in it. Once you get used to it, they drive fantastic.

I really can't wait man, this Saturday!! Also, is spending $70-80 on the LC2i really worth it? or should I just get something like this N-RHL4 a 4 Channel, 50 Watt per channel , Line Output Converter - $39.95 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce (was recommended by someone else on a different website.

with chevy there's a good chance your factory deck will be cutting off a lot of the low end ~40 hz and below. It will be extremely disappointing if you add subs and end up with no bass.

Thank you for the advice sir! Do you know how the LC2i is able to actually reconstruct the bass that's cut out? That doesn't seem like it would be possible
