Which of 3 subs?

I currently have an eD10A.22 running off of my Orion 1200D. I have a chance to buy a Focal 27V1 new for $300 or a slightly used JL 10W6V2 for about the same money. I'm not after serious base, just something crisp to go with my Focal components.

TIA

if what i've seen is correct the 1200d runs at 725w RMS at 2ohm. that most likely will be too much for the JL 10w6v2 even with the gains down on the amp.
I believe Mike is running a pair of the Focal's in his trunk and he absolutely raves about the sound quality of this setup. I'd probably either go with the focal or stick with the eD as I think that amp is just a little too much for the JL.

I'd stick with the eD, or go with something bigger like an IDmax if you want more power. even try some of the new eD stuff.. it's great.

Orion 1200D at 4ohms is 425w, perfect for the JL 10W6V2

Yeah, but too bad the W6v2 is a dual 4ohm driver.

The W6v2 will be just fine on that 1200D. I don't forsee the user running pegged volume test tones through this driver so it'll be quite happy with the power.
Perosnally I would either stay with the ED you have now (beautiful sounding driver) or get the W6v2 which is a very nice sounding driver also. If it was me I'd keep the "A" series.
