rear fill

Was reading a thread, where rear speakers were mentioned, seems that rear fill isn't all that popular,15 to20 years ago points were given for rear fill.I at the time questioned the wisdom but accepted it in order to be competative.Iwould run dedicated amps for subs ,rear mids ,front mids ,rear tweets, and front tweets. After a comp I would change all my settings to achieve headphone effect, thats the sound I wanted.A good front stage may be desired, but I personally want to be sitting in the centre of the stage and feel the music

Whether turning rear fill on or off all depends on the "mood" for me. For serious listening to live music I turn them off and when going out have fun with friends I turn rear fill on and turn it loud.
