4-CH Options

I am deciding on an amp and would like some opinions on the following:

JL 300/4
Fosgate 600-4
Alpine PDX 100-4

I've listed to the 600-4 but only on a rack but I was impressed and that is what I am leaning toward. However, the PDX also seems appealing.

The amp will be powering Eclipse sc8365 3-ways (100 rms) up front and JL VR690 6x9's (80 rms) in back.

Thanks,

All 3 will do the job nicely, I think the JL may have more settings one it than the other two, I'm not sold yet on full range class "D", I'd just go with best priced one with the features you need/want, not what a salesperson tells you you need/want

I am looking for tunably and durability is key as well. Has anyone heard of problems/failures with any of these? I know Fosgate amps are built solid and I have always liked the Alpine stuff I've had in the past including my current HU.

I think the 300/4 may be slightly underpowered, but I don't know if JL underrates the power. I do like the JL features.

The JL's put out pretty much their rated power.
Any of those three amps will be more than enough power for what you'll be running, easily!....all three are good solid trustworthy products, go for price and features (that you'll need).

What HU are you using?...any external processing? (ie: H701, 3sixty...etc)

Alpine CDA-9857 - No signal processing, eq's, line drivers (they still make those?? I remember the bass cube from years ago....) Rant aside, the amp will connect directly to the HU.

The new Arc Audio KS125.4 Mini is something to consider as well. Not too many details yet but this amp gives you 70w x 4 RMS from a very small chassis.

Some peeps turn thier nose up at MTX , but you may want to look at the TC4004 as well.

Mine works wonderfully and the certificate states 72wrms per channel (rated for 50) and 519 total (rated 400 total). They are about $300.00 at F.S.

Front & Rear each have gain, hi/lo pass, and bass boost *****.

It can also be bridged to put a few hundred watts to each front channel, or run the fronts and bridge the rears to power a small sub.

Obviously it aint no Audison, but its half the price as well.

Just my 2 cents worth.

If you want lots of tuning options, I would also look at a Sundown 100.4
