6.5 inch component help

Hello everyone, I recenty poked a hole in one of my jl components and am looking to get a new set. Does anyone know of a good set under $350? Im looking for something that can go loud and play clear at high volumes. Ive searched the forum but the names that keep coming up are Hertz, Morel, and Focal. These seem to be out of my price range. Any help is appreciated

JBL c608Gti...not sure what they go for retail or if you can even find them...i was quoted 700.00 in toronto and special order only. Online they are a steal at around 230-260.00 us. I ran them with 200 watts/mid (rated at 150 rms each) and 50 watts/tweet for 2 years with nothing but powerful mid/midbass and sparkling, crystal clear highs. I've got the 660 GTi up front now, but still use the 608's in the rear. Definitely one of my favourite comp sets, and a best buy for price vs. performance.

excuse my ignorance, but how do you have separate wattages for the midbass and tweeter? wont they be the same? unles you are not using the crossover provided and have your own crossover before your amplifiers

^^actively set up, not using the provided passive cross overs...separate amps and a Pxa-h701 sound processor for cross over, eq, t/a, etc..

I purchased the Morel Tempo 6.5 series from MR2NR for around $360 I think and they sound superb. I am hoping to keep these speakers for many years...
