80s car audio
Well my dad just dug up his old alpine amp that he used in the 80s. i wanted to try it out with my speakers but i dont really understand what some of the wires are for and what i'm supposed to plug into the input. So any help as to how this works would be great.
So these are obviously for the speakers:
The yellow is power, black is ground and one red one is the remote, i dont know what the other red one is:
And then there's these 3 wires that i have no idea about:

well your input in the amp is called a din
you can still buy the plugs but you'll have to solder the wires
the pin in the center is rca ground
the pin to either side is right and left input
and then the next pin weither its the right or the left is your remote on input
being that its a 5 pin din you should be able to take off the cover and determine which is your remote
now your one pair greens are one channel output yellows positive
and the gray pair is your other
yellows battery and blacks gound
now the two reds im not sure
some of the older din amps would power your deck and eq
through the din plug
but thats only on the 8 pin din's
some of the older amps {never seen an alpine}
had current sensing
so one of the red wires went to accessory then the other red went to the accessory input for the deck
had a hole bunch of old alpine service manuals and install info
from when when derek lee worked there but i cleaned house 6 months ago and it all went in the trash
