9887 vs X993 vs CD5030 vs ?

I was comparing between the same three units and ended up with the 5030
The alpine has the most options if you add the H701, the kenwood looks the nicest, but for ease of use and sound quality I decided that I liked the eclipse, awesome iPod interface, the usb actually works unlike the alpine and the controls are less complicated then the 993 (it has everything though the right joystick which I found was a pain)
Other thing I like with the 5030 is that with my $20 mic I can do all of the imprint features on the deck.

I have had an X-991 for a year now and absolutely love this unit. Don't care about the B/T as I rarely use my phone. The SQ capabilities of this unit are incredible. The thing that I like the most about them is the WOW HD settings for the sound stage. With it on and set where it is you would swear mid bass are in the A/C vents on top of dash. With it off all sound is around your ankles. Anytime you want a listen send me a PM, I am usually around weekends and usually in Richmond Hill Saturday nights.

I voted for the x993 because I have the cd5030 and plan on replacing it with a x993. I find the ipod interface on the cd5030 quite slow. It takes for ever to scroll through thousands of artists or songs. The x993 lets you search by initial or scroll in chunks of certain percents (much like alpine). The bluetooth on the cd5030 does not fully work with the iphone. I'm unable to transfer my phonebook. BT-Audio on the cd5030 works good. The x993 uses a parrot bluetooth based set up. From what I've read it fully supports the iphone (including phone book transfer).
My biggest complaint for the cd5030 is when using an ipod you are forced in to using the DAC on the ipod itself. I find this horrible quality sound. If I take the very same mp3s from my ipod and burn to a mp3 disc, they sound significantly better being played off of a cd than the ipod. I'm not 100% positive on this but I think the x993 bypasses the ipods DAC and uses it's own 24 bit DAC.
