Question

ok, currenlty i'm running an alpine 7894 and some other neat stuff. I was lookin at purchasing one of those in dash hard drives until i heard a few mindchanging thoughts about them along with the price.

I've seen that you can get a 40gb jukebox player for about $350ish (US Funds) and that seems like a pretty solid deal. (Although it could be better)

Can I, and if so how would I, wire one of these up into my system (i assume to the HU)? Does anyone have any experience with these, either good or bad? Suggestions of any sort are welcome so long as they're pertaining to the topic.

I would say it could run on one of the RCA inputs, just like a CD changer?

I could be totally wrong, though, but a Y-coaxial (1 plug to RCA plug) would probably do the trick.

dont use Y adapters to combne signals.. only to split them. Run it into a line in on your deck.

You will need to go out and get 20$ AUX adapter from alpine... it allows you to plug in anything via RCAs... thats all.

I currently run my X Box as my main source of music.
I have a 7" screen and a Pioneer deck with auxillary input and I hook my xbox right up to that. I bought the "Music Mixer" from EB games and now I can just download songs right onto my box from my computer.
The only bad thing for me is that the power supply to the xbox is via a converter that plugs into the lighter.

hmmm i see the company makes auxillary cable that work directly with kenwood and i think pioneer decks, but not one for alpine.....

so i suppose it may have to be thru rca cables....so if i'm correct well wait no i don't have a clue....i have an ai-net connector on the back of my deck...does alpine make a cable that go's from there into an rca basically? and then into this jukebox

Yes, Alpine makes an ai-net to RCA aux in cable.. I was looking for one when I had my 7894, but I couldn't find one anywhere..
