album art WITHOUT an iPod?
I'm in the market for a new head unit, I'm hoping to find something that displays album art from a USB stick.
Many appear to have the ability (like the Pioneer MVH and AVH series) I'm wondering if its just a naming convention issue, my album art files are all called folder.jpg, since that seems to work with Windows and my Logitech Duet.
I tried a couple Pioneers last night, they display a generic note picture. The mostly useless sales guy said it should display art but couldn't detail the requirements, and Pioneers manual doesn't mention anything either.
I'm open to double or single DIN, just really hope to get art working, without using an iPod.
Thanks,
Todd

I've read something about having to actually imbed the art into the actual .mp3 tag
When you figure it out, let me know
One program suggested was Media Monkey
I'm using a DNX 5120 and some of the .mp3's will show up with art

You are correct, the Kenwoods will display it when embedded. Sony XAV60 will too. Pioneers don't. I did some tests at Future Shop, unless the art file is embedded , it doesn't display.

if you are embedding use this prog, free, easy to use and just plain awesome
Mp3tag - the universal Tag Editor (ID3v2, MP4, OGG, FLAC, ...)

If you had an ipod with itunes, itunes would get most of the album art for you if your songs were tagged properly.
