Alpine 3558 Class "A", is anyone familiar with it?
Hi folks,
Have been reading posts from members for quite sometime, but just now had a question... Can anyone tell me the apx value of a 3558 Alpine Class A amp? I was reading about how rare it is and I happen to have one that I pulled out of my old car a few years ago. I was not really planning on selling it, but if the price is right I might reconsider ebaying it or something! lol... better then collecting dust!
I had it is my 89 YJ, super sweet set up by the guy that owned it before me. 2 x 10" Alpine subs in a custom box (this was the back seat replacement, lol) designed with a lip under the box to store the 3558 and the Alpine x-over. Two 6 x 9 Alpines in custom boxes attached to the low side of the roll bars behind the driver and passenger seats, and 2 tweeters up by the dash. To you people, this description may sound... well... amatuerish, I assure you I am not nearly as well versed as the members in this forum.
All I know is the thing rocked that Jeep like nothing else... Still I am yet to hear a system as clear and loud as that set up was in the Jeep.
So if anyone might have any info on these, it would be greatly appreciated.

I still have one 3558 which is still brand new in box and has never been installed. Great sounding amp. The value for it is........whatever someone is willing to pay for it. Depends on condition, scratches, missing screws & harnesses, and dings. Some guys will pay a ton for them and others do not find them appealing at all. Got any pics? PM me if you can cause I might be interested if the condition is right.
