alpine ai net question
hey guys, I would like to know if there is a way to retain the bass engine and media expander functions on my cda-9827 when i hook up an era g320 sound processor using the ai-net cable? It appears that when you hook it up with the ai-net that you lose certain functions on your head unit. I suppose the engineers thought that since you have an outboard processor/eq that you did not require the other functions. If someone know s please respond.
thanks
thanks
well the era-g320 is an older unit, before certain things became available in the headunits themselves
when you hook it up via ai-net, it changes color(green or amber) with the headunit....... hurray
and you can change volume on the unit.......hurray
however
you WILL lose your xover on your headunit, which was a huge downfall for me to use AINET
make sure you change the dipswitch on the bottom of the unit from normal to EQ. that gave me a headache for an afternoon

Yeah, it sounds great but I really hate the fact that you lose the mx and bass engine functions, especilly the 17.5 khz tweeter eq, and the mx for mp3 and wma. I guess you can't have everything. Anyway thanks a lot for the info.
