Have you seen the internals of these puppys? This is one serious amp! designed by Rich Coe & built by Alpine in "88" for serious car audio competitions.. This amp tonally, dyanamically, and control is very good... not like amps now a days.. in $1000+us level.

I agree that they are excellent amps. Hey I'm a big fan of them also but like Paul stated they just aren't worth that kind of dough these days.

I would say that an item is worth what a buyer wants to pay for it though. The same reason why an enthusiest will pay $250,000 for a Hemi Cuda even though they can get a '05 Corvette Z06 that will outperform it in every aspect for less than half that price.

Sweet amps and one of the best looking pieces ever. A square brick, the way an amp should look IMO.

These are great Alpine amp with a big hunger for current, I have setup a few in my time and they had almost perfect SQ for an alpine amp I remember a write up on them, almost 1200watts @ a 2 ohm load bridged
