I've had my Alpine 9815 for a couple years now and still haven't figured out the secret to getting id3 tags to display consistently.

Sometimes a title will get cut to about 11 characters even though the HU should support 30 characters. I've found that the program "Mp3tag" provides fairly consistent results for writing tags but I just tried a new version of it yesterday and the HU just showed "NO SUPPORT".

I don't know much about id3 tags but is it possible that the HU has trouble reading them depending on what fields are filled in. i.e. if there's too much information in the tag then the (tag) filesize is too big for the HU to interpret?
