Opinions on my new deck, Alpine CDA-9815
#1
Just picked one up last night. I figured it's time to retire the Pioneer DEH-P7300 and 12 disk changer and simply get a good MP3 player.
I havn't installed the deck yet but was playing around with alot of the options and what not just on my work bench and holy crap it's got alot of stuff... I was able to download the 43 page mannual off the net so I'll be doing a fair bit of reading tonight.
But yeah, thus far I'm happy with it. I wanted to get a newer Pioneer deck but I've been checking out their new ones from the base line up the the priemere and honestly they look/feel cheap... so onto my #2 choice being Alpine.
Sooo, for $290 I got an almost new 9815 with box, reciepts, and the remote & batteries still in original package. The only thing it's missing is the metal cage and plastic trim piece that goes around the face plate. Both of which shouldn't be too hard to track down.

You paid what????
That deck was one of Alpine's biggest mistakes. By the time they found a major problem with the transport system, it was too late. Someone over at Alpine forgot to file their preliminary findings. To save face, Alpine decided to lower the price of these units in hopes to get rid of them. They got Sound Domain to blow them out at a very very low price. Even then, nobody wanted to buy them.
Hey, just kidding. That's a good price. Don't you just love it when you can download manuals and stuff over the Internet. I hope you have a sense of humour and found this funny.........

OH man mugen1 u had me going too cause I own one of those decks LOL.
Anyways, great deck, great price. I think you will love it. I went from an old Pioneer to this Alpine cause I thought the affordable (to me) pioneers felt like garbage too.
Nice deck man,
Craig G
