i was lookin for a new Hu and i am goign to go to with alpine. what i dont know is, is which one should i go with out of the 9881, 9883 or 9885??

im guessing the 9885 is the better one but what about the 2 others? anyone have an opinion on those two?

I just installed the 9885 recently. The layout is great and it sounds good. The only downside I find is the EQ.

The Ipod feature is simply the best. It's so fast, pretty much instant. So that's a big + for that HU.

Very very easy to set up and configure stuff, There is a built in HPF which is also good.

You can also adjust the bass level frequency and the width. I found setting the bass to 200hz, it sounded really nice with my 2ways. But you can't go above 200hz so you are limited in the EQ . But we're not audiophiles now are we?

The lighting of the HU is really really good and can be seen in pretty much any light adjustment.

You can add more stuff like an EQ/Processors, stuff like that.

You should read the manual for the 9885 first, if you want to buy it so you know what you are getting into! Private message me if you want anymore info dude .

Ahh I think the only difference is that the 9857 is only 2volt. And the 9885 is 4volt. If you need 4 volts of think you do, get the 9885.
