:( alpine head unit not giving me CD

i have a alpine cda-9831 deck in my car i dont no why but its not ejecting my cd and when i put on the tuner it goes on but no sound ? how can i get the cd out or fix this ?

Happened to me with my stock deck, what I found out was that my motor within the deck itself was broken. I was able to take it out with some very small pliers, as I need the CD (didn't care much for the deck, it was a POS anyway).

That is most likely the cause of your problem or you may have fried the "brain" of your deck, which in that case is why your tuner isn't working as well...

i opened it up and got the cd out and now the tuner works but the cd doesnot it tells me a error i got a new deck now the ECLIPSE CD7000 i dont no if mine going to get thealpine fix or not

I had the same problems last weekend, up all night building a box, got the carpet on, put a cd in and ken-wouldn't play it... spent the next hour getting the deck out, taking the cover off, cleaning the opening with alcohol, electronics spray, its been a week since and its still working like a charm. I almost tried to put in a CD that didn't feel like it wanted to go in, instead I pulled it out and noticed that it was in really rough shape. The can't find it, grind it rule should not be applied to your headunit. As far as the Alpine, maybe its time was up, how old was it? I

the deck is only a 2004 so its 3 year's old i think im going just hold on to it and put in my new deck when it come's in

Sinemeup 06-29-2007 11:48 PM

Yeah, good idea to hold on to it... I know a few guys that are still running alpine's that are much older than that... what model is it?

on the face of you will have a RESET button, give it a push with a pin or something small and hold it for a few seconds. Start there...

Yeah, I agree with the reset solution. Same thing happened to me once and I pressed reset and the deck spit the CD back out. Most decks have the reset button somewhere under the faceplate.
