Alpine IVA D310 and MRA 350 Home Theatre Amp Module Instalation Help

I bought a car video system ALPINE IVA D-310 with a sound amp MRA-F 350 Theater Amplifier. I need help on instalation because the Head Unit 310 will not recognize the external processor, although they should be compatible, as per the manual.
The D-310 is a 2 units system, with a Monitor Box and a Tuner Box. I connected the Monitor Box to the MRA F 350 AMP thru a digital optical cable ( in order to get DTS Surround sound) and connected the Tuner Box to the amp with the Ai Net Cable.
The Head Unit does not control the MRA 350 and I do not get access to any adjustments on the sound processor, just the plain basic fader and balance controls on the Audio Setup of the D-310.
I think I have something wrong or a missing connection, but the manual does not help much and the Alpine online help does not help either.

Thanks and regards.

Roberto.

PS: I am also very disapointed that the marketing brochure of the D-310 and even the external cartoon box, says it plays DVD-Audio disks. However the unit refuses to play DVD-Audios and I am only able to play regular DVDs or DTS CDs in surround sound.

I believe you have to bypass the video lockout on the d310 to access the tuning controls.
If you have done that already, then I am out of ideas.

I have been able to play dvd-audio on my iva-w200 and my friend plays dvd-a on his d310 all the time, so hopefully it is just a small error that you can correct.

Thanks for your idea.
Please tell me how can I do to bypass the video lockout.
Also pls confirm that you (or your friend's system) can play the high resolution audio stream recorded on the DVD-A (24/96000) or just the plain low resolution Dolby/DTS audio streams recorded on hybrid disks.

This will do it for you.

There are a few different types, but the TR-7 seems to be the most popular.
I don't recommend that you use this to watch movies while driving though.

I'll try to check with my friend about dvd-a, as my deck is currently sitting on my desk waiting for reinstallation.
