Alpine IVA-W505 VS. KENWOOD DNX8120
#11
Hello, I´m in the same situation. I have an Alpine head unit with DVD and a 10' Screen in the rear of my mini van. I also have a 5.1 Amplifier that can only use with Alpine Head units. Anyway I see that the kenwood 8120 is better for most of you. Give me please your final advice. Thanks in advance.

Alpine is really struggling to cut costs as much as they can while trying desperately to hold onto some quality.
Most people don't know that roughly 70% of Alpine's business lies with OEM manufacturing. This is a really high volume low margin business and when car production is down 35-40% they are losing alot of money

kenwood is all in one ive been installing for 24 years and i loved the alpine product until they came out with the blackbird and w205 i took them out and put the kenwood 8120 in and i dont think ill ever buy an other head unit from alpine unless they improve big time . for over 10 years ive had nothing but alpine in my demos car but they are struggling. this is my opinion but im very dissapointed cause i used to be an alpine freak

Thank you my friends, Today I have no doubt what to buy, I´ll go for a Kenwood 8120. The only doubt that I have now is to buy this unit or wait until June for the "Kenwood DNX 9140". The only thing that I know is that my next brand will be a Kenwood.
