Everybody has an opinion.....

It looks like all the other AiNet adaptors. It will use up your AiNet port. Since its USB, you'll be able to control your ipod from your head unit. Most of the really cheap adaptors just do audio in, so you have to control your ipod.

I have the KCA-410C switch with 2 CD changers (the newer one does Mp3 disks). It works great. And was hard to find in Canada. If you want both your ipod and cd changer, you'd need both adaptors.

I was looking at that too. You should control any USB device, right? I was thinking hard drive. Alpine's MSRP is $160US, do you know someone selling them, Mark?

I want it so I could maybe hook in my 80gb lapop hd, that I have in a self powered 2.5" usb enclosure... was wondering how it performed, like access time, and stuff like that..

I don't know about 'any' usb device, but it seems most mp3 players, and hard drives in enclosures...

no I don't know anyone selling them... haven't even seen one in canada to tell you the truth, but Crutchfield has them, I might pick one up to see how it goes

after finally finding a somewhat half *** review of it, it seems I might give it a try ... maybe in the new year.
