Sorry but I am a noob to this forum and a beginner in car audio. I have an Apline PDX-M6 and looking for a subwoofer to hook up to it. Which one should I choose. I would like to stick with Alpine.

 

It depends on what are you expecting from subwoofer. loud sound or quality sound? I would buy a type s 12 because of quality but if you are looking for loud sound its better to get a type r . you shouldn't expect a type s to play loud musics for long time

 

I have access to an Alpine SWR-1021D. Would this be a good choice. Is the amp too powerful for the sub?
