Alpine vs Pioneer
Going to pick it up from AVU eh? I just got their flyer today. I have the 7894, their older MP3 deck, I have been quite happy with it, although it had a bit of trouble ejecting a disc, on 2 occasions. That's why I got the super extended warranty, four years. Mine has the flip down face, looks like the 9807 is non-flip down, which I would prefer, personally. The Bass Engine features are nice, as is sub level, crossover adjustability, phase, etc. Pretty solid deck, imo.

Well.. I went in today.. filled out the forum to see if I would get approved for financing.. about 20 minutes later the guy comes back and says "I got some bad news" I was like crap.. I guess I'm not getting this stuff just yet.. Then he was like you officially now have credit.. hehe..
I got approved for $2500.. $1250 of that is a VISA card.. The other half I can only use at AVU..
So I bought the Alpine deck.. then I was browsing around and saw that they had a refurbished Alpine 7874 for $197.. so what do I do.. I throw that in too for my parents (they have been wanting a cd player for their car for a long time already)
Total bill $687 after taxes and I also got the extended warranty on my deck for a total of 5 years.
My monthly payments are $28.63.
So I'm pretty happy right now.. I am gonna talk to my parents and figure out when they want their deck installed.. hehe

oh yah and another funny thing happened.. I ws just chilling waiting to see if I was approved and this old guy came in and started to look at decks.. he obviously didnt really know what to look for so I started to talk to him. He had to choose between the Pioneer deck and a Sony deck... I told him lower line Sony's were crap and he asked me what he thought he should get. So I found out the deck was a christmas present for his daughter so I looked and saw a Pioneer mp3 deck for $270 and I suggested that one.. I explained to him what everything did. The guy was like cool.. I'll take it.. hehe. so my sales guy came over to check up on me and I told him that the old guy wanted to buy that deck.. haha
not too bad I must say..
buy 2 decks and sell one for the store.. he hooked me up with free install for my parents deck.. hehe
