alternator whine not leaving!?!?!?
I was recently trying to make my alternator whine stop by connecting a ground to the screw (in between the rca's), it reduced the whine a little but not too much. Is this what is meant by rca shielding or do i actually have to ground the metal on the rca output?
Ooooo
Wow, Whine Is Almost Always From Noise Being Amplified On The Input Side Of And Amp, Make Sure Your Rca's Are On The Passenger Side Of The Car, And Your Power Wire Is On The Drivers Side, Dont Ground Any Wire At All, The Center Wire Is Used For A Trigger Wire For Amp Turn On So You Dont Have To Run A Separate One, If You Have Done That And Have Noise, It Can Be A Few Other Things, Cheap Amp Which Has No Built In Noise Surpression, Your Using A Crappy Eq, Your Head Unit Has Something Wrong Inside And Needs Repair, You Have A Hair Of A Speaker Wire Touching Ground Somewhere, But That Would Cover 70 % Of Why You Have Noise.
