You could have your alternator checked.

I would do some troubleshooting first though.

Do you have engine whine if you turn off the stereo but leave the amp for the sub on?

Have you tried redoing the ground for the deck and the amp(s)?

feedback

Try running all your grounds to one spot, a very clean piece of metal or even right back to the battery. If you are going to stack your grounds, make sure the largest ground is at the bottom and smallest at the top. If that doesn't work then you've maybe got current running lengthwise with your RCA's (maybe they aren't shielded well enough?) or it's in your deck, as mentioned before. If nothing else works or you are unsure of the ground on your head unit, pull it out and test for a better ground.

hope this helps!

You have 4 or 8ga running to you decK? are you kidding me? That just doesn't sound possible, and if you did why would you need it? The biggest i've ever heard recommended is 16ga and that's for alpine if you are using the internal V-drive on the deck which is 60x4max. If you are running pre-out only you shouldn't need more than 4-5amps to the deck.

But still about that whine, are all your grounds in the back to one point? Is your power wire/remote wire running alongside your rca's? Do you hear it from the sub also or just the speakers? If I know that maybe I can help you.

the - to the deck is an 8g wire cot down to a 4x out block with a 12-16g wire to the deck and a 12-16g wire to a relay

the power wire runs under the suv on the left and the speaker wires run down the center and the rca's run on the far right of the suv

and yes my deck is running 5v out to the rca's

But still about that whine, are all your grounds in the back to one point? yes the battery

Is your power wire/remote wire running alongside your rca's? no as far as i can move them apart

Do you hear it from the sub also or just the speakers? i think just the highs not the sub but have not got back there to see this i hear when the svu is in D and moving the faster i go the higher the wine

You could have your alternator checked. How if i need to remove it to check it i will replace with an high out 200-240
