American Bass Amp 500.1 good for a daily driver?

Got this amp in the trunk of my 72' Impala running x2 RE HC 18" subs. Loud as hell! Awesome bass but, took out my x2 Shuriken 2100CCA batteries and 200amp alternator. Alternator charges at 10.6 and batteries rest at 8.68 (dead cells) Had sufficent voltage charge but, wonder now, how man amps the American bass amp uses at idle and uses at max output. I forgot the equation for it? Any tips? I am already using 3/0awg gauge wire. I'm almost ready to sell the stereo and reduce the stereo size. Thanks!

How many watts are you pushing and why did it take out your batteries and alternator? Did you misconfigure it? I'm slightly confused about this.

500.1 is 5000 watts ( I think.) Battery is 10v because its fried. Like he said, dead cells. Other than that, maybe you need more alternator?

oh thnx Benny for the clarification on the amp. it was an assumption on my part. just checked the specs which i shoukd have done in the first place.. damn that things a beast
still should have 14+volts on alt is this why it came out?

this shoukd help with wire sizing
http://www.bcae1.com/wire.htm
i believe multiple runs of cable is better than one single.. more wire surface area and all

I doubt his alt will output 347A, so he definitely needs a new battery if that amp is going full tilt.

update

put a powermaster S12 140amp w/ x2 optima 900CCA batts. with aluminum bust bars. full tilt, drops to 13.1v on my cobalt gauge. working great now! Shuriken batts are junk, I even had a c-tek on them.
