american bass amps

do they put out what they say? do they tend to have issues at all?

Yes make HUGE POWER, no issues, just make sure you have the battery for it.

ya i hear theres no protect mode if it drops below a certain voltage and might blow? or something along those lines

The amps have protection and i works just fine you just need to know how to run these amps. Just ask all the boys who did deathmatch with the amps last year what they think. The subs didnt last but the amps where still cold after 5 min. Maybe Peter Mta, Dave Mta neon, Don Dezzy, and last but not least Chris Checo who ran 4 500.1 for 5min no issue.

alright thanks, looking at a CX1200D... im not to familiar with american bass but tis supposed to be 1200RMS@1ohm, should it be pretty close to 1200 or a fair bit more? im looking to push 2 10" sound splinter RL-i's and i wanna make sure i dont feed them to much power, from what i have read they are good with 700ish RMS each (website says 500rms)

yeah i ran a 500.1 for last season and it was a solid amp, no issues with it other than me not being able to figure out its sweet spot lol. I ran .35 DAILY flawlessly. AB makes solid gear.

is it odd that this CX1200D only has a 40 amp fuse in it? i found it weird lol

Cx1200d is supposed to have a 80 amp fuse. They will make about 1000 rms at 1 ohm

The cx1200d is a solid amp the max power we got out of it was 1326 wrms at 15v and about 2200 on a strapped pair at 14v off of a 2150. so yes about 1000rms is correct JW.
