Hello everyone. I am looking to get 2 new amps. I want them to be strappable/linkable to 2 ohms and put out about 2000 RMS.

I am able to get good deals on either of these two amps, the Visonik 900XD and the American Bass CX1200D.

I was wondering if anyone had opinions on these amps, or know if one is better than the other.

I can get the American Bass amps a bit cheaper, but they are used and the Visonik amps are new.

Thanks,
Craig G

the V900xd is the better and more powerful amp...the cx1200 is more comperable to the V800xd...I would take the V900xd for sure (and yes I have had experiance with both amps because I owned many (8) of the V900xds and a very good friend of mine owned a whole bunch (like over 20 LOL) of the cx1200s)

Thanks for the info. Is the CX1200D a bad amp though? It will be easier for me to get the CX's but if they are going to be crappy I will complain until I can have it my way to the V900XD's

Thanks,

Ok thanks guys. I'll see what I can do. I'll try for the Visoniks but if not then I'm sure the American Bass amps should do fine.

I am just worried about the American Bass amps cause I've broken 2 of them already. I know that they don't have undervoltage protection and my 55 amp alternator just couldn't keep up. Keep in mind I didn't learn about the undervoltage protection until I broke 2 amps already . I am looking into a new alt now though, so I would get that installed before the amps.

Thanks. I posted a thread and he has contacted me. Seems like a great guy and his prices are very reasonable. Sounds like he makes good quality stuff as well.

I am going to be getting an alt from him as soon as I get my tax return back

well i would agree with shocking. The V900Xd slaved into 2 ohm so one ohm each will make TONNES of power and still be relatively clean, The american bass amps I have not played with but I know that Tom really knows what he is talking about. And yes I also like Shocking have experience with the 900's because we have owned 32 of them!!!!
Just my opinion.....
Also if you do the Visonik's they DONT LIKE VIBRATION!!!!!!!!!! so dont mount them on a box or anything like that, that is the only way that we have had any blow up...

Thanks for the tip. I probably would have mounted them that way too. Do you have any for sale if you had 32? Or are they all gone?

Thanks
