trojan, your comments are laffable, alomost as laffable as your idea that id's image is flawless. the laundry list of id failures in long, unless youve been hiding somewhere for the last decade. their history is filled with financial problems, product failures, chapter 11(bankruptcy) protection and so on. hardly what i would call a flawless reputation as you stated. all of this is public knowledge and can be found online via the freedom of information act in the united states. do some research before you comment, i appreciate that you like the product as do i, but you need not promote it through misinformation and conjecture

Something to consider here as well is the information that the general public sees or hears vs. that of what a dealer sees and hears, not often is it identical in this industry. Defro is privy to more information as he is on the industry side of this business. Trojan I do not know about but will assume that he is not on the industry side and not privy to all the little inner workings of what really goes on in car audio. All companies go up and down, but to pronounce one as being at the top of the game no matter what is just plain misleading.

OK....Defro is right....ID may be an awesome sounding product, but reliability/availability is an issue.
You could build the same box with a JL 10-W3....around 1.1 ft or so, tuned to around 30Hz.
You might need an extra 1/2" depth, but very equivalent sub albeit a few bux more.
If it's built right, dollar for dollar, a single ported box will out perform a pair of subs sealed.....hands down.
